THE CHRISTMAS LETTERS BAND

Stu Cole  (Stand-Up Bass, Drum) Stu has been a staple in the Chapel Hill area since 1989 when the Infamous Chicken Wire Gang
hit Franklin St. (literally). He began honing his composition skills after partner in crime Greg Bell taught him how to break into Hill
Hall. Their adventures prepared him for a six year stint with the notorious Squirrel Nut Zippers, and then another three years of
national touring with fellow Zipper Jas. Mathus' Knockdown Society. Stu has been involved with countless regional and national
projects and is currently working with local heroes Taz Halloween and Dexter Romweber. He resides in Efland with his wife and
two sons. While grateful for the success he has endured, on the whole he would rather have been a lumberjack.

Billy Sugarfix AKA Bill McCormick (Band Director, Guitar, Tambourine, Kazoo)  Billy was co-author of the It’s Carrboro rap song,
and fronts the intrepid slacker pop band Evil Wiener (they’ve never heard of you either),  who inspired the tribute album,
I Can’t Get
That Evil Wiener Song Out of My Head,
which features acts such as the Two Dollar Pistols and Work Clothes performing covers of
Sugarfix-penned faves.  Billy has written music for and performed in adaptations of Jill McCorkle’s
Crash Diet  (Wordshed) and
Clyde Edgerton’s
Killer Diller (Ride Again).  He occasionally acts, but is sure that fame and fortune will come to him only after he
writes a song about YOU, that’s right YOU.  Visit

Bryon Settle (Guitar, Dobro, Mandolin)  Bryon has been involved in music for twenty six years in North Carolina.  He has been a
member of such notable bands as Trailer Bride, Tift Merrit, The Pressure Boys and about fifty other bands.  Bryon cites his friends
as the biggest influence on his music and style. This is Bryon’s third play/musical with Ride Again Productions and he hopes there
will be many more. Bryon thinks more people should eat beans because “they are natures’ perfect food!”
